Malia Obama’s stalker who begged her to marry him detained by Secret Service
A Brooklyn man who sneaked into a Tribeca building where Obama’s daughter Malia interns, and begged the 18-year-old to marry him has been detained by Secret Service agents.
Jair Nilton Cardoso showed up on the fourth floor of the building on April 10, held up a sign in an office window and loudly pleaded for her hand in marriage.
The agents recognized Jair Nilton Cardoso as a man who had repeatedly tried to get into the White House in the past. They also told him to stay away from Miss MALIA.
According to sources, two days later Cardoso, 30, followed Malia out of a building in the West Village where she also interns.
Secret Service agents on April 13 went to Cardoso’s Brooklyn apartment and interviewed him. They concluded he had psychiatric issues and took him to a Brooklyn hospital for evaluation.
Secret Service agents later went to the First Precinct station house on Ericsson Place in lower Manhattan and reported Cardoso.
Cops are still trying to reach a conclusion on whether to file stalking charges against him.
